I am not quite sure to which adds and icons you refer
on the browser page - hold your mouse on the icon and then click the three dots to the top right of the icon and then click remove
It may also be news and interests - which is accessed from show hidden icons - right click on notfications area and the on news and interests and turn off
That all said I have set Google as my home page on Edge - so it has no icons etc or ads
and then new tab simply goes to MSN when I wish to use that
It is the MSN site banner. outlook, e-bay, car deals, etc, I want to get rid of most of these ads.
Then, I think it as I said
on the browser page - hold your mouse on the icon and then click the three dots to the top right of the icon and then click remove
send screenshot please of Edge window with what you want to remove
I regret to say that I cannot find a way within the edge - app to get rid of these.
In fact it is reported that you cannot do, you can only alter what is seen.
I suggest you use Google as your home page there are NO ads.
By using a content blocker where you can pick elements, probably can be added to HOSTS as well.
Code:msn.com###main > div.stripeouter.mestripeouter:first-child > div.mestripescrollfix:first-child
But i do want to keep some of the links
Well IMHO you will just have to put up with them
I cannot see the problem, they are not visible unless you scroll down the page of MSN
and if you find them so annoying then as I have said twice
use Google as the home screen - no ads and it is extremely simple to configure in Edge.
