    Microsoft Edge Chromium - Favicons Have Disappeared


    I installed a Cumulative update for my 21H1 Windows x 64 bit on 15/9/21.

    The update is KB 5005565. It all went perfect, but on restart all my favicons have disappeared and are replaced by a colourless page image with a corner bent over.
    All the distinctive coloured icons have gone.

    This makes my favourite lists difficult to interpret when no specific icon is shown.

    When I click a favourite now the proper coloured icon appears again, but one or two favicons in a long list of blank "page" icons is useless.
    My Chrome favicons are still OK. If I export my Chrome favourites to Edge, will all matches refresh the Edge favicons ?

    Does anybody know a fix for this fault ?

    did you check what edge updated
    did you check edge official forums if other have same problem
    dont use edge its really bad
    use chrome (maybe firefox)

    or deal with the problems you'll have
