What is the next best web-browser to Firefox...?

I hate the new Firefox Proton UI....
    I need a alt....
though I do have Waterfox Classic installed so I can still use my classic Firefox XUL extensions... that I still have need of...
but not every page like GitHub works like it should because Waterfox Classic code is older version of Firefox though he does keep it security patches up to date as best he can..

Windows 10 came with Edge and now Edge Chromium....

    any idea fellow TenForums peeps??

see my system specs for system details if you want...

I got fed up with endless FF updates and stayed with one build 88 on this PC. No more extension anxiety ... no prompts for updates. Peace.

Sometimes certain things hang in FF though- e.g. huge multi-page pdfs, which Edge handles well. So while I like FF generally, best browser? Hmm..

    - great specs!

I just stick with Chrome, with a couple of addons Ublock Origin and Simple bookmarks - not everyone's choice but it works for me and syncs across my devices including the Phones and tablets (android)

    Brave (my default browser)
    Vivaldi
Opera (Meh! Perhaps .... It's almost as bad as FF with its updates)
... and if you've a longing for the ole look and feel of Internet Explorer, try MyIE9 (but be prepared for the range of settings!!)

    Privacy worries? Then try Tor.

    Hello @Melchior,

Like Barman, I use Google Chrome [ Standalone Install ] with a couple of Add-Ons / Extensions. I used to use Firefox, but as the different versions got released, I liked it less and less.

There is also this thread going on at the moment which you might find interesting . . .

I used Firefox for years, I'm sure I got a certificate from them for good service or something - the takeoff of the android smartphones and tablets was why I moved - I currently have 3 phones and 4 tablets of varying age

Hmm, must declare an 'interest' - just remembered- Mozilla actually sent me a FF T-shirt... good quality too. That was around v3 I think. So my opinion must be biassed!
