I have had a further look at these videos and what I hadn`t noticed before is the resolution is 4K.I have no
problem with 1080HD so I would assume that 4K won`t work and it can`t be changed.

    One thing to try ...

Enhancer for YouTube™ – Get this Extension for 🦊 Firefox (en-GB)

the enhancer YouTube is something that I have used for some time on Chrome, (the above link is for Firefox) it allows you to automatically or manually set the resolution and a lot of other things...

Give it a try I should be all you need to control YouTube to your needs

Finaly sorted.I added the "Enhancer for YouTube"extension to Firefox and ticked the two boxes "Force the use of standard frame
rates formats istead of high rate frame formats"and "Force the use of the MP4 format and the AVC codec instead of the Web M
format and the VP9 codec".I don`t know what any of this means but it solved the problem, hope this helps someone else.
