    Well my_userChrome.css is exactly as yours
    That still leaves 1. and 2.
    And 1. is a seriously huge place.

    P.S. I decided I like the my_userChrome.css set to 25px btw. Well I'd LIKE it better at 20px, but that doesn't work.
    I don't think that we can shrink the tabs down to 20px....yet. 24px seems to be the lowest the Tabs will go.

    In post #1 of this topic, you can see all my about:config settings.

    /edit

    I just realized, there may be some Windows settings that affect FF as well?
    Like your RED title bar for example.

    Maybe font settings, light/dark settings etc.

    Like I said... I have this posted on Mozillazine Forums as well.
    So I'll check on that post later today or maybe next week and see what comes of it.

    Have to leave time for enough folks to get upset with the fat TABS, before someone figures out a solution.

    It kinda looks like the address bar, right above the Tabs bar is also set to 25px.
    Maybe there's some global setting that won't let things go smaller?
    Whatever it is, it's buried too deep for me to find it... yet.

    I'm definitely... giving up for today. If I see anything anywhere, with a solution... here is where I will post it.

    @Ghot

    I use that snippet to cut back the tabs... I'm not sure if it's what you are looking for...

    Code:
    /* TABS: height */
    :root {
     --tab-toolbar-navbar-overlap: 0px !important; /* fix for full screen mode */
     --tab-min-height: 36px !important;
    }
    :root #tabbrowser-tabs {
     --tab-min-height: 36px !important;
    }
    #TabsToolbar {height: var(--tab-min-height) !important;}
    Depending on your screen resolution you can play a little with height.

    It doesn't do any more than what the shorter code I listed above, does..

    Latest Firefox disaster... excessive tab height.

    IDK if it's my imagination, FF fixed the flash effect when opening FF, or the addition of the chrome 4.1.3 folder but my opening FF flash effect doesn't happen any more.

    And it's a lot snappier when FF is opening. If it is the chrome folder, it hints at how the FF developers 'improvements' are detrimental to FF.

    I have not noticed any of the old flash effects for a while, though I am on FF 97b6, with none of these CSS mods implemented.

    Go into about:config and set fission:autostart to... false.
    Then restart Firefox and see if you get any flashes.

    Fission is a new security improvement by Mozilla.
    Fission (Site Isolation) is explained here: Introducing Firefox's new Site Isolation Security Architecture - Mozilla Hacks - the Web developer blog

    For me, it causes white flashes in ElevenForum as in this video... flashes start at 00:20

    After discovering the cause...
    I decided to just ignore the white flashes, and leave fission:autostart set to True
    I filed a bug report with Mozilla about the problem.
    This started with FF 94.0, and is still happening.

    I filed it here: 1744894 - At the website https://www.elevenforum.com - visiting various subforums cause white flash with fission

    And after a few days, they moved it here: 1740499 - [fission] Page loads flickers and shows visible redraws (due to too-early paint unsuppression?)

    I don't know if this is the same issue you're having.... but this is all I know about white flashes.

    I had mentioned the "white flashes" on ElevenForum, saying that they were especially annoying at night.
    So... @A Guy posted this as a joke. I think it sums the issue up nicely.

    Thx Ghot.
    It was flashing, IDK why I wasn't noticing. . . but I'll have to get used to it b/c I set fission:autostart to false and it's still flashing, it only happens on FF startup.

    Maybe it's FF's way to enter tunneling for the security. I'll read your other links later.
