Or just use Edge Deflector and leave Edge installed.
Google Chrome NOT Really Default Browser.
Uninstalling Edge might cause issues if a cumulative update targets Edge then that update might fail to install.
Callender, Edge is to Windows 10 very similar what IE is to Windows 7? I want to learn a little more about W10.
As far as I know it can be removed but should be left installed. You're not forced to use it as default browser.

I always used to remove Legacy Edge but now keep Edge chromium installed and updated.
Agreed! I keep my Windows 7's IE fully functional. I just wanted to learn more about Edge within Windows 10.
It looks now as if Edge Deflector can no longer be selected as per its setup instructions - probably after the most recent update taking me to 19044.415. Thus e.g. clicking items in News and Interests will open Edge- no other option is available.
I'm guessing this is the same change they've made in Win 11.
This will also shut down Edge without causing problems to your computer.

Don't want Edge? See this new program - MSEdgeRedirect - now EdgeDeflector is dead. No need to uninstall Edge.
