    Edge problem question

Sometimes I am want to listen to BBC 2 or BBC Surrey radio on the net ...that is no problem when using IE as I could minimize the site and open another page to read the news or go to facebook etc...but with Edge I find that if I open a page and go to the BBC 2 Website and start to listen to the radio it opens a new page with the radio station on it, so far no problems and if I have keep the first page open I can open other sites to visit...still no problem. But if I shut down all the occurrences of Edge except for the one that BBC 2 Radio is on and do something else like Word or Outlook and try to open say Facebook using Edge it maximise the BBC 2 Radio page and does nothing else. To get another page up I have to shut down the BBC2 page open the page that I want and then open another for BBC 2......this didn't happen with IE I could click on the IE Shortcut and it would open a new page. Anyway am I doing something wrong or is there a setting that I need to make to tell Edge to open a new page each time I click on the shortcut.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

If you have Edge set as your default browser, you can set up as many desk top short cuts as you want, and each one opens up in a new tab.

No it doesn't with BBC Radio station as they open up a different type of webpage....one that hasn't got the + sign to open another page... Also I just tried it ....open up BBC Surrey so I can listen to the radio... minimise it ... went to another shortcut on my desktop, Facebook, double click on it, and only the BBC Surrey page came up. Edge will not allow me to open to separate occurrences of Edge unlike IE where you could have as many separate occurrences of it as you like...and I not meaning one occurrence of IE with multiple tabs but multiple single pages. Sorry if that is confusing but that is the only way I can explain my situation. Another thing also...ever since updating my wife's pc to Windows 10 from Windows 7 ......IE is not working and is not showing up in the Program list or Updates (control panel). But one thing hasn't got anything to do with the other as far as I can see as I have the same problem with Edge problem but I have IE still. Go figure....normally I can sort these things out myself...but both of these problems have me beat.
