A lot of cons then. Anyway just for info I tried Spike a few months ago. It was okay except for when the need to select muliple message actions arose. Like bulk delete. It's useless at that. Or selecting multiple messages to mark as spam.

thanks for the Heads Up C.

I guess I just have never gotten used to Apps vs Programs , and what seems like an inherent problem with Apps ....you have less Control and must do things their way.

the use of 55-60% of my 32" screen is a particular issue..... WLM does more in 1/2 the Space and shows the Calendar , Damn M$ for not updating WLM :) :) :)

Never mind WLM, bring back its predecessor, the almost perfect Outlook Express!
Since WLM stopped working I have been making do with Thunderbird (I too do not like it). I recently tried Blue Mail for Android and found it quite nice, so now I am trying Blue Mail on Windows 7. It is not totally awful but I do not really like it. There seems to be no way to manually fetch messages and no facility to set the fetch interval. Very limited display options. Also, I delete a message and its content remains visible in the reading pane. Weird.

Bluemail is really hard to uninstall fully- there was a thread on that a few weeks back. There's a startup that needs special attention:
    Automatically Starting Email Client

Similar posted somewhere else like Reddit.

Thanks. I am so far not too impressed with Blue Mail under Windows 7 (I have had to restart the system several times because BM had become unresponsive) so I might need that advice soon.
