How to stop outdated value being filled on a sign-on page.

Pulling my hair out on this.

Up to date Edge Browser on up to date Windows 10 Pro.

I have a bank account and the login page has a business number the bank assigns in addition to userid and password. The logon page has a remember me option which I use on my home office PC. Last week something triggered the bank to change the business number. Now when opening the logon page, I see my new number flash and then instantly be replaced by the old number forcing me to re-enter the new business number.

I've deleted every cookie and the local data for the bank's domain (NBARIZONA) and all cookies with NB in the domain for good measure. Also every cookie with ZI in the name since Zions Bank owns NBoA. No change. I've logged on with and without the remember option, with pasting in the business number and typing it in, every combination.

I am using Lastpass but no entry contains or ever contained either business number, only the userid and password.

I don't know if the website could do this but wanted to see if there is a cookie under another domain that includes the old business number but couldn't find a way. But I guess the value might be obfuscated anyway.

How can I find out where the old number is being retrieved from so I can kill it.

Try Edge, Settings, Your profile, Personal info where you can edit or delete saved form-filling details.

Had hopes that was the problem. But, settings show I never turned that option on. There is no personal information.

All browsers have the ability to clear their cache and cookies, which I'm sure you know.
If you've already done that, then I would just call the bank and explain the problem

It sounds like they need to clear their cache, as it seems their server still assigns your old business number.

I cleared all cache. I didn't want to wipe out all cookies because that could force me to look up and re-enter data on hundreds of other sites and then find out I still have the original problem.

Is there a utility to export all cookies or search all cookies for a value just in case its in some cookie for some other domain? Or is that not even possible for the bank website to generate cookies for an undisclosed domain?

I would not be surprised if the problem is at the bank's end. But if it is, there is little hope they can or will fix it. They are literally the bank from He11. What I wouldn't give to be done with them. I've stopped telling people the stories because nobody believes they could do the things they have done or screwed up so many things. But the accounts are for one of my father's businesses and I am now the executor of his estate and trustee of his trust and there are so many customers paying directly into the accounts and automated payments being made from the accounts. And even if willing to tackle that, I can't even open corresponding accounts at a normal bank because the business is owned by the trust and banks won't open new business accounts for a trust except for the grantor trustee, who is now dead. Why not try a different browser, that isn't already loaded with cookies.
Use it just for the bank... if it works as it should.

I opened the page with another browser and the business number was blank. I haven't logged on yet. Means I'd have to install Lastpass on that browser creating another threat vector or have to enter the 20 random character password which would be worse than entering the business number on the main browser.

And I am reminded of the story about the bad tailor. Guy orders a custom suit. When its ready, he tries it on and one sleeve is longer than the other. Tailor convinces him to just raise one shoulder and sure enough the sleeves looked the same, but then there was loose material somewhere. The tailor convinced him to just twist his back a certain way and it would tighten up. That cause yet another issue and so on and so on. But eventually it looked perfect on him and he leaves with it on.

He passes two men on the sidewalk and as soon as they were out of earshot, one commented what a shame that someone would be so crippled and the other said, yeah but what a great suit.

Ran cleaner and cleared the left column...







Then went to a website I've never been to, namely Petco... and refreshed CCleaner...








NOW... I know all the cookies that Petco's website, dumps in my browsers.

I may be missing something but I can already view or delete all the cookies for any domain thru settings. If cookies have anything to do with my problem, the problem cookie has to be for some other domain. With cookies for hundreds of domains, a needle in a haystack to find the business number in one of them and virtually impossible if obfuscated.

I asked before, is it even possible that xxxxxxx.com could create cookies for zzzzzzz.com? If not, my cookies have nothing to do with the problem since I have deleted all the cookies for the website with the problem before posting here.
