Chrome 91: No wheel scrolling on some sites

Windows 10 20H2.Just started using Chrome 91 about a week ago. All was going fine, but now I'm noticing that my Logitech MX Master 3's scroll wheel is not scrolling on some sites while it scrolls on others. Doubt if anything wrong with the mouse as until these events, it was working as it should on this computer and another PC. Disabling the extensions makes no difference. Furthermore, I have tried another mouse, but still only selective scrolling just on Chrome whereas OK elsewhere. However, if the cursor (of either mouse) is placed on the right side scroll bar of any site, scrolling responds to wheel's movement. Some sites that scroll and others that don't: Google sites, your site, reddit sites don't scroll, whereas dpreview, npr and Chrome sites do scroll. Thanks.

    Hi, FWIW I went to
reddit: the front page of the internet
    - no problem scrolling in Chrome 91 (it just updated as I launched it).

    "your site"
    - tenforums scrolls ok.

    21H1

Does scrolling work on these using a different browser?
And what happens if you click the middle button when scrolling doesn't work? (You should see a double-headed arrow icon in the middle of the screen and moving the cursor up and down should cause scrolling to occur).

I have two similar Logitech mice, the MX3 and the M720; and I use Logitech's LogiOptions to travel between this PC and my Surface. Both mice are identically configured via Options, and both have their middle buttons set to Enter when depressed. Both mice have been functioning perfectly until this noted scrolling problem in Chrome (been using Chrome for about a week when this started happening.) The MX scrolls in Firefox that is on a different PC; it also scrolls on Edge that is on this PC...as does the 720. However, there now is a noted difference between these two mice with regard to depressing the middle button. When depressing the MX's middle button while in Chrome, I do get the double-arrow and it does scroll, but that button no longer performs Enter; whereas, the 720 still does Enter but doesn't show the double-arrow? Furthermore, both mice still function properly (both scroll and both have Enter) in Thunderbird, Firefox and Edge. I'm not good at this, but I'd hazard a guess that something in Chrome is effecting the mice/Options relationship???Edit:Just noted that in those sites in which scrolling is not working properly, my mouse gestures for scrolling to top or bottom of page isn't working, either. Again, please note that scrolling will work on some sites but not others???

Try Chrome in its approximation to Safe Mode: (no extensions): see
How to run Chrome browser in Incognito Mode or Safe Mode

Otherwise if you think it's application specific, perhaps better ask on a Chrome forum.

Time to take anti-going-crazy pills! Ran Chrome in "incognito" mode, and all tested sites were properly scrolled with MX3 mouse. However, even with LogitechOptions open, pressing the middle wheel still called the double-arrow (which did scroll, also) and not Enter (as it has always done in the past). Furthermore, with Chrome in regular mode and all extensions on OFF or ON, mouse now scrolled some sites it didn't scroll before, but still didn't scroll most sites.

Hmm, maybe some Chrome setting or extension...

Doubt if it is an extension as I have run Chrome with all extensions disabled (not incognito). It may be a Chrome setting, but all was working just fine until a day or three ago and I don't believe that I had added any new settings???

Hold on, the MX3 is now scrolling all sites in Chrome!?? The only thing that isn't working right is the wheel button still gives the double-arrow and not Enter. And, lastly, I have to own up that I do have several "errors" within the computer's system that others have said may cause the computer to be unstable.

Well, you said one mouse worked in incognito mode:
Ran Chrome in "incognito" mode, and all tested sites were properly scrolled with MX3 mouse.
So suggests some odd incompatibility... sorry, no further ideas.
