Home page problem

Home page does not load. I get this unwanted page. Microsoft Edge Chrome.See attachment-a real pain! Home page is set correctly, but overwritten by this junk. Windows 10 latest version.

You are opening a new tab, not home page. Refine new tab options by clicking the gear in upper-R corner.
If you want a specific home page, click the 3-dot menu in upper-R corner, then Settings and set a page by entering address; like this-

I have it set correctly as your illustration, but no soap! Microsoft is a real pain you know where.

Are you clicking the home page icon (house)? What homepage address did you set? Your screenshot shows you're on a New tab not a home page. Set home page like this, then click house icon to test -

I just changed mine to ESPN.com. Worked instantly and just fine after restarting Edge. Again, what website are you trying to use as home page?
