    Hello, TidySean. Welcome to TenForums.

I both understand and admire, your tenacity.

Just be mindful, of the information Mr. Burton left for you. (In case of a future surprise).

    He's a wise owl.

Hey, thank you, it's good to be here.

Yes, I will be sure to keep what Berton said in mind. I am updaing the machine to the latest eveything it can find. Only Cumulative stuff, so I doubt anything will turn up. - Just got an error on the last one, to be investigated.

Worse case I'll just have to make a custom ISO for each new Feature update and update that way. Once I got my head around the MSMG Toolkit it was quite simple. I threw in a load of drivers and some reg keys also.

One thing I have always known with Microsoft products, pretty much anything is possible. Appart from removing that search box from the top of Outlook, I gave up on that.

wasn't it easier to just not use it?
Even if you don't use it, Edge still uses you and your system resources. And it's basically adware: Microsoft Edge popup

That being said, I wouldn't go to the lengths of OP to remove it. I'm okay with just using that well known command line to uninstall it. There's still a blank Edge shortcut in the Start menu, but otherwise I don't notice anything Edge related anymore.

    A quick Revo uninstall and...,

a quick Package Removal command does it for me!

Gotta do it every new build but meh, no biggie.

I have tried all the command lines, they don't work. They used to, in previous versions I had. I didn't like having the blank icons / shortcuts around the place, it looks messy, I think. I am quite happy that I have done this, it's great to be able to make a custom super-lean Win install. Windows software is very robust I have found in recent versions, they seem to handle missing stuff quite well. I remember some bad days on Win95/98, the wrong move in the wrong place and you're getting out a load of floppy disks.

I tried that too, I went through 10 plus uninstallation softwares, most didn't even show Edge. One said it could remove Edge but wanted money for that version, so I didn't try.

I would call this a success, completely up to date. It seems that I will need to make a new ISO each time there are updates. The reason the update was failing before was because it was updating things that weren't there. So, I need to make a new installation with the new updates loaded, then remove whatever components I don't want, which then remove from the updated installation, the updates install on Windows installation then. Simples......

    Thanks all, for your input!

This still works for me on 20H2 systems (run in the Installer folder):
    Code:
    ./setup.exe --uninstall --system-level --verbose-logging --force-uninstall
But yeah, it leaves the blank shortcut behind in the Start menu program list.

That used to work for me, but then it stopped. Setup.exe seemed to be removed in an update. Microsoft told me that Edge had been changed to a system service, so it was part of the OS. I've been removing Edge since it turned up all that time ago.
