    Old Email Messages


    Hi
    I am trying to retrieve some 3-4 years old messages in Thunderbird unfortunately without success. I can see there are messages in my INBOX in my profiles folder but no matter what attempted solutions I apply it's always a gobbledegook result. Right clicking on my Inbox mail folder, Properties >General Information it shows there are 93 messages, however there are only 30 messages visible. I realize I'm not doing something correctly to view these messages, but what? Help urgently required please. (Windows 10 Home 20H2).Thank you.

    You can use the "Unread" button to toggle between read and unread messages.

    The Thunderbird versions I used to use in years past stored emails in non-encrypted files. Apparently, an ASCII text reader (metapad, notepad, etc.) is not going to work in this case? I will listen in and learn more about this situation.
