Using Outlook.com without going through a browser
I was introduced to Outlook.Com while exploring Windows People App. Is there anyway to use it without going through Firefox, Edge or some other browser?
Thank you.

No. Part of the whole point of Hotmail.com and its intended successor of Outlook.com was to be Internet based, not an installed E-Mail Client on a computer.
Current link for both:

FWIW, you can install Outlook.com as a web app (https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/...8-71cdeeb78e83)
Maybe I don't understand the question.
I use an email client that's locally installed on my PC to access 2 hotmail.com accounts, my ISP's mail server, 1 Outlook.com account and a Gmail.com account.
I simply launch my email client, Outlook365, without any browser loaded and have close to full functionality of the email accounts.
I recently set up a client's PC with Thunderbird so she can access her ISP's mail server as a POP, downloading all email to her PC. The ISP's mail server limitation was only 1 GB and she was constantly over limit, causing her grief with bounced emails.
Thunderbird is a powerful and customizable freeware app if free works better.

If I understand the question correctly there are 2 non Web Browser ways.
1) Email/People/Contacts/Calendar Client App like what you have in Windows 10 i.e. Mail, People, and Calendar Apps.
2) Use the Apps feature of the Edge Browser as detailed in post #5. In this case you get an Apps Window rather than a Web Browser Window.
You can access Hotmail/Outlook.com email accounts in Microsoft Outlook (Office client) and other email clients such as Thunderbird and eM Client. Have a look here:
