How to remove sender from Junk in Outlook.com

I'm not certain about the rules for outlook.com but for hotmail set to exclusive in junkmail, sometimes it won't deliver to my inbox unless I create a contact in the address book. Have you tried that yet?


You can also add a mail rule to deliver from a specific user to the inbox.

Scroll up and select option 5 'Create a rule that will bypass the Junk mail filter' under the heading 'How do I stop Outlook from moving emails to Junk'.

If using a webmail account in Outlook then junk/ spam filters or rules applied by your webmail account take precedence over Outlook rules so log into your email account via a browser and check. Then check if using IMAP or POP3 and probably switch to IMAP if not already using it. Then check that all folders are synched to Outlook.

Yes, I saw that. Surely there's an option to identify a specific sender. I'll look in my hotmail and report what's there.


Update. It would appear I have about a dozen address specific rules to sort into different folders therefore it should be easy enough to specify anything from noreply@dell.com is sorted to the inbox.




You can see the address is rejected because I don't have them listed in my address book. In reality, I do have that exact address but chose the not accept mine because it has a custom name you wouldn't have recognized.

There you have it, I too have a custom rule in order to have hotmail deliver noreply@dell.com to my inbox.

You're most welcome.

I've read at more than a few sites that M$ mail servers are notorious for dumping everything into the SPAM folder, if you have the settings on 'Exclusive'. Case in point, after reviewing my rules settings online, there are many.

I use Outlook 365 on my PC and don't often use the online servers for email.

Hopefully, this will be the solution. I always carefully review the SPAM folder contents regularly, because even with settings and rules, M$ does silly things periodically.

The worst case seems to be with M$ services, big surprise.

It just helps us to keep sharp when checking the SPAM folders.
