Hi, please see resolved thread
(c:) (MIssing)
Did you clone your system drive? It's suggested that can give rise to this:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...4-a6017a0f93ce
I had an incredibly minor Bluetooth issue on a well maintained/non complex laptop. I tried a restore point and it forced a blue screen of death and a complete USB OS install.
Beware.
The method suggested by those on this thread were correct. And to reiterate how simple/easy it was:
1. Highlighted the line item folder: Windows (C:) (Missing).
2. Disabled protection by selecting "Configure" then checking the disable protection box near top of config panel.
3. Entry magically disappeared.
4. Then highlighted the Windows C (System) line item & clicked "Configure" box.
5. Selected "Protection" and set space allocation size.
6. Then clicked "Create" restore point button. (see below)
Lastly out of curiosity, does anyone have a theory as to how exactly and when this issue is caused? I also attached the earlier Disk Mgmt panel below -- when issue existed.
