I do have a question after viewing the tutorial about offloading my Outlook emails. What format will they be in? Will they look like they do in Outlook? Thanks again for the help. Patrice

Offloading emails from Outlook
I think I have done this before, forget what I got, so have just now initiated another export to test - but the Tenforums guide

says the export will be a .pst file - which you probably won't be able to open without Outlook (the program). I must say that MS hide that export function rather well.
So sorry for mis-step. I have been on other forums where I did that because adding to the original thread doesn't always get an answer. . I do use Outlook so it shouldn't be a problem having them returned in the Outlook structure, yes?

In the other thread you stated that you don't have Office - so unless you are using Outlook.exe on its own (which is possible), you don't 'use Outlook the program'. If you are using Outlook.exe (a program installed on your PC), then saving some emails from an attached address is simple - you can do it within Outlook. But I suspect that when you say you use Outlook, you mean the Outlook.live.com web interface - which is not 'Outlook the program'. If that is the case, its not your fault that MS chose to name such different animals the same - I'm sure it has led to plenty of confusion all round.
So which is it?
It is Outlook.com. So will this offload info in the tutorial work with that?
AIUI, you will get a link to download a .pst file. Without Outlook-the-program you will struggle to open it. You may be able to download a viewer (most likely not free). You could try Thunderbird, the free email program from Mozilla (already recommended to you, I think) - it can't open pst files, but you could set it up to access your email and then choose what to keep on-line and what off-line.
