It is an advertisement for the technology provided by the company, which has nothing to do with the topic—Windows updates.
Hmmmmm. I have no idea about Windows Updates, so I have no way of confirming, or denying your claims. Problem of metered connection, it will still install drivers updates - I think. I'll do a backup and give it try. I did not figure out how to stop automatic driver updates and I tried literally everything google found + what MVPs on this forums sent me.
Driver updates are not installed automatically on my Windows 10. Try my scripts. I have never done a system backup.
The Eclipse Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit corporation. Open Source. As for whether it has something to do with the topic. It has everything to do with it, as Windows 10 and therefore Windows Update are closed source, as are all the various free tools that let you be in "control" (between quotes) of Windows Update. So, when you claim that such a tool works reliably how you described, then the burden of proof is on you. Again, I already know for a fact that whoever it was who made the claim that it's just a matter of comparing the KB numbers was being incorrect.
The corporation has nothing to do with the topic, as it does not provide a tool for controlling Windows updates.
No one has said that KB numbers are the only available information about updates.
TenForums has imposed no burden on members who talk about a tool.
You're the one who started talking about the corporation, not me. As for providing a tool for controlling Windows updates, the only thing you have provided in that regard is your claim that WUMT will work reliably for this, which I already know is false─because I tested it.
That's why I never said that someone has said that. The point that matters is that tools like WUMT are missing certain updates that Windows Update does not miss, and are missing them regardless of how many times you keep denying this fact.No one has said that KB numbers are the only available information about updates.
I am talking about a tool─one that I myself have tested continuously over the course of many months. Again, I don't do bottomless pits so, until you come up with a better explanation of why anyone should be trusting the tool, you can expect your talk to be met with talk from those who, like me, are coming from a place where talk without evidence is not enough. Previously you were saying that I'm the one who needs to disprove your claim, which is that this tool─that you keep advertising─is reliable. I am sad to inform your that a huge part of the world doesn't work that way.TenForums has imposed no burden on members who talk about a tool.
You're the one who talked about the reason why your corporation earned more money than Microsoft.
If you have evidence for your unfounded allegations against any tools in question, show it.
Members are allowed to talk about tools. Such talk is not advertising, which you have done.
You can get out of the bottomless pit simply by not replying.
I have no idea what you must be going on about here. I never said I have a corporation, let alone have one that earns more money than Microsoft.
The burden of proof is yours, and yours alone. If you have evidence for your unfounded allegations against any tools in question, show it.
For starters, I never said members are not allowed to talk about tools. Some people who work in marketing are less pushy about the tools that they actually sell for a living than you have been being. What I have done is the exact opposite of advertising, as everyone who might stumble across this old train wreck of a thread at some point in the future will be capable to see clearly.Members are allowed to talk about tools. Such talk is not advertising, which you have done.

Professional help are always available on TenForums.
You derogate from the tools much more vigorously than I talk about them.
You have no right to impose a burden on members.
"Your corporation" = "the corporation you work for", which you have advertised.
