Why would this browser be more secure than the Chromium versions supported by the budgets of MS and Google?

I'll let others be the guinea pigs for this.

    Hi there

all these old things are so last century (C20) Any body not using these sorts of places shouldn't need all that sort of rubbish these days.

    or even these places

I've also made a challenge on this particular section of the Forum -- anybody on latest releases of Windows 10 and using it as a HOME (not a Corporate / Workplace machine) has ever got anything from current Malwarebytes that WD doesn't handle -- in C20 but not C21 Malwarebytes was brilliant - but for typical HOME (and I emphasize Home machines) those old 3rd party bits of A/V software aren't even worth thinking about any more --in any case it's scams rather than hacks and viruses that are "The name of the Game" these days.

And to all you Malwarebyte users (again HOME not CORPORATE users) -- nobody has answered the challenge yet -- what has it detected successfully that WD hasn't ( Windows 1909 any version !!).

And I believe just recently the designer of McAfee (we call it Mc Aweful - although much beloved of Corporation sites) has been cited in court for dubious things regarding Bitcoin -- well if you want to trust your security to those sorts of individuals --Go ahead.

Personally I'd rather trust Ms - the current security is based on its very robust system on its AZURE Cloud service and really works -- I couldn't ever imagine myself saying this a few years ago !!. (And at least Ms pays its taxes in jurisdictions it operates from).

Anti-virus mogul John McAfee charged with fraud over crypto promotion | John McAfee | The Guardian

Just use standard Ms apps to get rid of stuff and if your system is really hosed up re-install.

And with free backup software e,g Macrium Free - just take regular backups and you'll never have to worry about this stuff again -- any problems just restore a clean backup !!. -- 15 Mins on most modern typical systems.

    Cheers

I used UR Browser for a while and it was decent enough except that after some time it asked me to upgrade to a paid subscription to keep some features that were initially provided for free.
