I use white/silver icons on my taskbar for my programs. I changed the Edge icon to a silver one, and pinned it to the bar. However, every time I open Edge, it changes back to the default icon. When I look at the shortcut, it still looks silver. Does anyone know how to make the one on the taskbar stay changed?
What was your method for changing the icon? Are you saying you changed the shortcut icon before pinning it, and the pinned version reverts back to default, but the non-pinned shortcut icon remains silver?
I'm not sure why that's happening, but where do you find that alternative silver icon? Is it one of the other choices when you go to your shortcuts Properties>change icon?
If so, try creating an .ico file from any image you want. Since you want that silver icon, you could google it and save it locally. Then, go to properties>change icon, and browse to the location of the saved image.
Or, you could also extract the image from the Edge application file.
