Features Added To Edge Right Click Options

Up until today's updates Right Click when using Edge had very limited functionality however much to my surprise Right Click options now include Copy, Paste, Copy Link, Copy Picture and Save Picture. Still MIA is Create Shortcut but I won't hold my breath.

Making Progress:) I wonder what else is new?

I didn't realize it until you said something gator, went and sure enough it does have those choices. I guess I'm still too close to the transition from 7 to 10, things like that you just never noticed in Win7 because they were there. Now when it's been added back in 10 I didn't think anything about it, obviously I don't use it that often, but something like that is only conspicuous in it's absence. The next big thing would be bringing the menu bar from IE to Edge, "File Edit View Favorites Tools Help" I don't see favorites coming back but the other five would be great.

As far as the favorites I don't care too much for how MS has it set up in Edge, I have maybe 100 or more total, folders in folders in folders in folders. It was much easier to navigate in the IE favorites menu, I can always go back and use it but I'm trying to mostly use Edge. It does seem faster than IE, that could be my perception, but it seems that way.

Maybe a little of a Subgenius motto "Pull the wool over your own eyes" (Subgenius dot com if you're curious, not for children but not porn)

Yes!, MS needs to do something about the Favorites Bar or lack thereof. Without improvement there and without Add-ons I don't think Edge is going very far. But I do agree that Edge does seem a bit faster than IE-11.

I hate to burst your bubbles, but all those right-click mouse functions (and keyboard) you mention have always been in Edge and then some. e.g. Don't know the meaning of a word or a spelling either on a page or in a text box? Double click it to highlight, highlight holding right mouse button and drag, or via caret browsing then simply right click it or use keyboard menu key to ask Cortana. Cortana will appear on the right with info. This feature is ported from the Windows phone.

Want your IE favorites? Press the hamburger Favorites menu (icon) and press import. One can then arrange by dragging and dropping up and down the list just as in IE. It IS as easy to navigate as in the IE favorites menu. There's no difference.

Edge is a Modern WinRT Store app with its own menu bar, so you won't be getting the "File Edit View Favorites Tools Help" menu bar from IE back.

There is a Favorites Bar. Add it in settings, then there's also advanced settings.

There is also Reading and Web Note modes.

    Welcome to the Modern, gentlemen.

The last position I held before retirement I had a company paid personal assistant and even she did not scan my personal emails. It will be a cold day you know where before Cortana does.

Just because something is different and some say better doesn't make it so.:)

Until use of extensions is added in the fall, Edge is dead to me.

What genius at MS decided you can't edit the Favorites bar to show only icons instead of icons and text ?, until MS fixes this stupidity Edge is of no use

And what's the price of tea in China?

I would think you'd learn a system before commenting on it.

Yes, that and most navigational features since W95. After all, it is one of the more important aspects of any OS.
