    Stopping spam from youtube?

It seems like youtube is becoming more and more annoying to use on a daily basis. If someone has any solutions, please post them in this thread, thanks.

I want to disable playlists from being suggested on youtube.

If you skip forward in a video, three arrows appears in the video you are watching.

I want to disable youtube annotations.
    (Solved with this addon.)

I want to disable the miniplayer, that pops up if you play a video from a playlist.

I want to disable the popup dialog, that asks if you like the videos you have been watching.

I want to disable the popup dialog with suggested videos.

I want to disable the popup dialog, that asks you to sign into youtube.

I want to disable the popup dialog, that asks you to subscribe to the channel.

Sometimes youtube crashes the video you are watching, only to ask you to sign up.

I want to disable autoplay from youtube completely.

If you clear your browser cache etc., the annoyances will keep reappearing.

Try testing the portable version of Freetube with these settings:

Do i need to install YouTube app in Google Chrome?

Only for 64bit Windows. Get the zip file.

FreeTube - The Private YouTube Client

Or else try one or more of these Invidious instances:

    documentation/Invidious-Instances.md at master . iv-org/documentation . GitHub

As some of you have probably noticed, ever since google took over youtube, the website has become increasingly worse, with user friendliness going down while spam, harrasment, popups etc has gone up. So i thought i would make this thread for users who just wants to use the website for listening to music, watching movies etc. without any of these problems, so please provide any solutions if you have them.

Sometimes there's an annotation in the upper right corner with suggested videos.

Youtube seems to enable autoplay by default, to get more views on their videos. If you disable it, it will just be enabled again, regardless of how many times you disable it.

As soon as you enter youtube, a popup message telling you to sign up for the website appears.

Youtube seems to be recommending a lot of playlist mixs. If you click on them, it will autoplay a lot of songs that you do not always want to listen to. If you click away from the playlist, the video with the song that you do not want to listen to will popup in the bottom right corner of the website.

Sometimes youtube will crash the video you are watching, only to show a popup message asking you to sign up or sign into the website.

Sometimes there's an annotation in the bottom right corner that asks you to subscribe to a youtube channel.

    • Sometimes, towards the end of a video, youtube will suggest various videos from the youtube channel you just watched.
Most of the things you mentioned, and more, can be disabled or diverted, through the aforementioned suggestions.
Some things are the uploaders prerogative, nothing you can do about it.

Actually, as it was only started in 2005 and Google bought it in 2006 I may never have actually seen it before google ownership.
