recommendation needed to convert e-mail from Windows Live to Outlook

One of my users has literally THOUSANDS of e-mail messages in her Windows Live e-mail on an old Windows 7 computer. I need to convert that to Microsoft Outlook on her new Windows 10 computer. I need a recommendation for a program I can either download for free OR purchase for a reasonable cost that will automatically do the conversion.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure you can import emails through Outlook by adding the Live mail folders after adding the Win7 email account into Outlook and using Outlook to log into it.

    Anne,

You can also try Migrate from Outlook Express or Windows (Live) Mail to Outlook - HtO

There are lots of other suggestions for importing from Windows live. See, for example,
import windows live email into outlook - DuckDuckGo search

The method is given in MS Help pages.

I used an MS Account(Outlook Mail) setup in WLM with IMAP. Created the necessary folders in that MS Account and copied Mails into those folders including those using WLM local storage folders.

Such that all were in the MS Account, checked that via Webmail.

That was somewhat tedious making the Folders in the MS Account and copying Emails in chunks to each Folder.

Then setup the MS Account with whatever Email client application is required, I used the Mail App. using IMAP and just synced and then the job was basically done.
