Chrome and Edge Display Some Web Pages In A Foreign Language

For some unknown reason, on my desktop and laptop Chrome and Microsoft Edge display some specific web pages in a foreign language (Sinhala)*. This does not happen with Internet explorer. Its very annoying. I am convinced this has something to do with my Microsoft account because both devices are synced into the same account. Is there anywhere in Windows 10 settings that could make this happen?

Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a fix?

    Kind regards
    Chris

In my case, after a lot of searching and trying many things I have still not solved this problem. This happens with a few specific websites. It only happens with Chromium based browsers like Edge and Chrome. It does not happen with Internet Explorer and other non Chromium based browsers. Using incognito mode makes no difference. Changing the language preferences in settings to English only does not help. I have changed many privacy settings in Win 10 and the problem persists. I have contacted the web administrator of one site where this happens and have not found a solution.

Somehow, certain websites wrongly think I have some connection with a foreign language, and automatically translate in that language. It does not happen on my wife's laptop which has a different configuration.

If you learn anything, please let me know. I have been trying to solve this problem for a long time.

    Kind regards
    Chris

    Thanks Chris for your reply
I haven't dived into the problem as deep as you. I have reported it to Microsoft, but have not received any feedback.
Its really weird as it doesn't affect the whole page, just mainly headings.
We cannot be the only people affected by this.

It happens for example when I try and view the daily Express website. As a result, I can't read any news from there.

I also posted the problem on another forum and received many suggestions but there is still no solution.

    (Actually it's not solved)

It's possible that the problem is not with Edge or Chrome but with the websites' advertising policies or cookies.
