Version 1.19.86 Chromium: 88.0.4324.96 (Official Build) (64-bit). I swear yesterday it did not look purple and frankly even though it was just yesterday I can't recall exactly what the color was but the purple is too much for me. How can I change it back or to something else? TIA.
Are you using one of the Themes available for your Background [Personalize, Themes] as available from the store? This clip shows the Title bar color on Firefox changed because I use a Theme:
The area just below the Title bar is a Firefox add-in called Parchment. Using a Theme may change things for other programs such as File Explorer and others, kind of a global change for the basics.

Thanks for replying. Well, I know I did not download a theme and I have not mucked around in the settings for months.
I should have mentioned that the purple is in Private mode. In normal or regular mode? the browser looks the same as it did yesterday:
Haven't used Private Mode but perhaps it's Brave's way of reminding you of what you are seeing/doing by changing its appearance.

If so, rude! without telling me : ) I'm hoping there is another explanation. If not maybe I need to experiment with themes. Plain vanilla sounds about right to me. FYI I posted on r/brave_browser and someone else confirmed:

It sounds like you're in private mode. On Mobile that's what happens. The color scheme turns purple. All you have to do is switch private mode off. However if you wish to stay in private mode, then I'm not sure.
Right. I mentioned above that I was in private mode however I have never used anything but private mode since I installed Brave a couple of years ago. Today was the first time that the purple ever showed up. I have not changed any settings. It's possible that starting today private mode on the desktop is now purple. You know how to get rid of it? Browsing without Private Mode is not an option.
Oh i didn't catch that, sorry. But i always thought that was default behavior? At least that's been my observation. I ve never seen an option to change it.

Yeah, odd. In my experience with Brave, Chrome, even Firefox. They all changed color when switching to their version of private mode/incognito(Firefox). Both on my Desktop and Mobile versions. Wonder if it's some setting in windows that it depends on?
