Turn off weather in new tab page in edge.

Hi there

I've noticed of late that when you have a new tab page in edge, it now puts your local weather in the top left. Is there any way to stop this ?

I've really tried to like Edge, but I'm getting rather tired of Microsoft putting things there for 'my convenience' when all I really want is a blank tab.

Yes, if you look at the new tab page, there is a gear icon on the right-hand corner of the new tab page, click on that then

1. Click Custom
2. Turn off Show Greetings

This will turn off your local weather. If you also want a blank tab: in custom choose Off in Background.

Nor for me. Perhaps it's only ther if you've signed in on Edge?

No, I think zooburner is talking about this.....

except of course I have no 'show greeting' switch option !!

No idea why that is, but there will be a reason of course, maybe i have to have something else turned on for it to be an option, who knows..

Like zooburner, I have no 'Show greeting' option - probably because I do not sign in to Edge.
