    Uninstalling Mail and Calander

I am wanting to try Mail and Calander on Win10 x64 2004 but have a few questions

Can I import mail from Thunderbird?

Can I have M&C make a daily or bi-weekly backup to a file on my hard drive for archivals?

If I do not like M&C and I uninstall, how do I make sure that all my mail and personal info is gone from files and Windows completely?

    Thank you

The Mail app is significantly less fully featured than Thunderbird, and last I knew there was no import or export support.

Backup: you could of course copy the relevant files for backup purposes from the protected area where they are stored.

There's a disconcerting description of transferring Tbird mail to the mail app here:

A long time back I vowed never to use a MS email client again once Outlook Express and then Windows Mail disappeared.

I really like T-Bird but I have having "cosmetic" issues where the "send" button is there but I have to move the cursor the height of the radio button lower before I can click on it.

I have no addons or themes installed.

If I go into safe mode, all is normal. This is what is making me to leave TBird. I would love to fix it but no one knows what the issue is. If I delete, reinstall, and restore from backup, I am going to have the same issue since it is in my backups, I assume.

Odd. I suppose you could export all your Tbird data/ profile, uninstall it, reinstall and restore your profile etc.

You could have a look at about:config (like Firefox):

and see what is not default.

In the above that's what's possible wiht the degrees of freedom you have- separating installation from profile.

You could prove that it is a profile setting by creating another, then if you don't have the problem you know it's that.

I also suggested you look at about:config
