    Yahoo Mail

I have two Yahoo accounts and my wife has one account. We both use the mail account via, Outlook. In the last two days my two accounts have been unable to synchronise with the web account, while my wife's account appears unaffected. I can access the mail account through a browser without a problem. I have tried reconfiguring the Outlook accounts, changing passwords, deleting the account and starting again, everything I can think of. Has anyone else experienced the same problem and is there a solution?

It's possible this is due to Yahoo's new Security Protocols for 3rd party mail apps that was said to take effect Oct 20th but I'd guess they're more likely to slowly releasing it to avoid the rush to support calls. Perhaps you'd gotten emails from them weeks before alerting 3rd party users to these changes.

Some discussion here a week after the deadline:

Yahoo email server error on one acct but not other w/ same settings

I don't use Outlook, so I'm not sure of the procedure. I know with Thunderbird all I had to do was delete and recreate the account with Cookies enabled.

Here's the link for 'Other' apps from Yahoo's alert email in which Outlook and Outlook Desktop procedures are mentioned.
