    Edge Chromium 64 or 32 bit?


    When Edge Chromium is rolled out for people from the Windows Updates, does it install the 64-bit version by default? Just checked mine, and if I go into the About Microsoft Edge, I see it has installed the 64-bit version.

    I had read that the next feature update for Win10 (20H2) will have Edge Chromium pre-installed by default. Will this also have the Edge Chromium 64-bit version installed?

    By now all browsers install 64bit versions. If you have a 64bit machine (98% of the people do by now) even if you had a 32bit browser installed, and it updated to a newer version, it would replace the 32bit one with 64bit. You can manually install 32bit ones, but if you have auto-update on, then it will update again to 64bit.

    This looks like the same post I saw on DSLReports.com earlier.

    It will install whatever "bitness" your OS is.
