WLM 2012 Trouble With One Email Account

I'm running Windows 10 Pro x64, upgraded from Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I experienced no problems with the upgrade, either during the upgrade process or after it was completed. The one problem I have concerns a single email account in WLM 2012. I have a total of 27 email accounts in WLM and they consist of sbcglobal.net accounts, Hotmail, MSN, Live, Outlook and Windowslive. WLM 2012 is working fine for all email accounts except one of the windowslive accounts. I have five windowslive accounts and four of them work. I simply can't connect with one of them through WLM 2012. However, when I go to live.com or hotmail.com and sign into this particular windowslive account I get access to it. The password is correct and everything is the same as when I was using WLM 2012 in Windows 7. The server used in all windowslive email accounts, naturally, is https://mail.services.live.com/Delta....0.0/sync.aspx. I can't understand why four of them work and one of them does not.

Thank you in advance for your time and any assistance provided.

Well, I finally discovered why the one windowslive email account was inaccessible. The emergency contact for this particular account was one of my wife's old email accounts in China. It had been so long since we used that account (ten years) that both my wife and I had forgotten the password. When we made several attempts at the password for this emergency email contact, with no success, I changed the emergency email contact, at which point Microsoft locked down the account for 30 days. Once the 30 days had passed I once again had access to the windowslive email account in question. I can now automatically sign into this account, along with all the others, when WLM is opened.

I'm amazed that you have 27 email accounts and only forgot the password for one. I'd have forgotten half I expect (unless the passwords are all the same).

Good to know the 30 day reset works though, thanks.

    Hello halasz.

The two sbcglobal.net email accounts are associated with my AT&T ISP. A few of the others are "throwaway" accounts I use for general correspondence with others. The remaining accounts I use for teaching English to and improving the English of people in China who want to attend colleges and universities in the U.S. or simply want to improve their English. It's a lucrative enhancement of my retirement funds. English is mandatory in Chinese schools but when they don't speak it for twenty years they tend to forget it. I correspond with many Chinese people in many different cities in China while improving or teaching English and it is the only way I can separate these people by cities and provinces. Actually, I have 28 email accounts if I include the one I forgot the password for. The passwords are all different and although I have these passwords stored on external drives I'm lucky and gifted to have an excellent memory when it comes to numbers. I don't have any problem remembering bank account numbers, driver's license numbers or passwords.
