how does one make Chrome the default browser

I have set Chrome to default browser and all seems to be well apart from one or even to burps. In certain emails, I click on an attachment and it will still open up Microsoft Edge.
The question for today is ... how does one stop an attachment file stubbornly opening up Edge instead of Chrome? Do please type very slowly in order for me to understand. Thank you!

if you go into settings....there is one for the internet settings, I am certain in there you can set the default browser....

    Hello "Maggidon",

This video should explain how to set Chrome as the default browser in Windows 10.

    If you prefer text:
    1. On your computer, click the start menu .
    2. Select PC Settings gear .
    3. Click on System > Default Apps.
    4. Under "Web browser," click your current browser, typically Microsoft Edge.
    5. In the "Choose App" pop-up that appears, click Google Chrome.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the replies. I've been in here & set Chrome as default when I first upgraded. If I hit a link in Outlook, it takes me right to Chrome. But in one particular email, there is a PDF file and clicking on that takes me over to Edge.
It seems this particular type of File sets something off and opens up Edge. Is there a way to overcome this?

Add the PDF Extension to Chrome.

Added the PDF viewer extension. This is still not fixing the problem. When I right click on that particular file in this email, it still says "This file cannot be previewed because there is no previewer installed for it." When I open it, it still takes me to Edge.

    Any other suggestions?

1 - Download a PDF file to your desk top. Right click it and choose Properties...
2 - See where it says Opens with: Microsoft Edge? Click Change...
    3 - Click More Apps
    4 - Click Chrome
5 - Click 'Always use this app to open .PDF files.'
    6 - Click OK

This is the trick no doubt but I'm trying to download a pdf file that doesn't automatically open in Chrome. This will be another exciting chore no doubt. Thank you for the help.

Got it. Simply saved the PDF and then right clicked on it and chose Chrome to open it. It works 101% now. Thank you again for the help!
