Copy'n'Paste doesn't ork well with Windows Mail

If I copy some text from a web page I'm visiting (I know it's HTML) and try to paste it into an email using Windows Mail, it takes forever (if at all successful) while the wheel is spinning over the word "Inserting..."
If I first paste the text into Notepad, and then select all --> copy and then paste it into Windows Mail, then everything works superfast with no errors.
If I try to paste some kind of graphics from a web page, it fails 90% of the time. Again, paste it first into Paint and then from Paint and into Mail, and everything works just fine.

What is here it that Mail is unable to handle properly?
    (I'm running Win10 Pro 64-bit v2004)
The issue has been with me since 1903.

Odd.. just to let you know copy and paste into the Mail app (I guess you mean the Mail app rather than the obsolete Window Mail (successor of Outlook Express) from Firefox works ok on 1903.

I've noticed issues with copy/paste since the Clipboard User Service was introduced... but I think that was since 1909. Anyway, there's definitely a clash between it and TeamViewer and between it and Synergy.

It doesn't happen all the time... but once it starts then I stop the Clipboard User Service temporarily and/or restart it. I wondered if it was some kind of buffer overload issue.

Yes, you're right - I'm referring to the new Mail App.

A difference between an HTML page and what gets copied and put in Notepad is all the coding not usually seen in an HTML page, sometimes quite a bit. Notepad is a simple text editor, doesn't/can't use the formatting of word processors such as Word, WordPad, WordPro, WordPerfect, etc. I don't have to do it often but prefer saving a Web page [HTML only or HTML Complete] then send as an attachment. The HTML Complete gets all the support features such as pictures, etc.

I've just tried it, copying a post text here to Windows Mail App, and no issue. I'm using Edge browser.

The thing is that when you paste into most other MS SW, you can choose to paste as Plain Text only. But that option does not exist when you paste into the Mail App.
