It just is and it hasn't been one year since the stable release. Some people always have an axe to grind against windows default browser - they can move to edge train or keep using an inferior product.

And the question about a problem is?????
Otherwise this reads like an unsolicited advertisement.

Is there an method (add-on or otherwise) to add additional rows of "Top Sites" on the New Tab page in Edge? I have pinned frequently visited websites to all 8 of the available tiles. Need the ability to pin at least 24 websites total. (Firefox allows this, but would rather use Edge 100% of the time.)

Annoyingly not but you've just reminded me to send a feedback about it.

I'll keep using an inferior product, thank you very much!

You can not dismiss the bad history with a wave of a hand. Only a tiny amount of people read tech news.
IE6 sucked big time, IE7 changed that, but people kept away and MS gave up on it since IE10.
Then there was the default Edge and again, it sucked big time, so MS gave up on it as well.
The problem is, the new Edge is called the same and people can not be fooled that easily.
MS should have used a new name. Opera is not popular, simply because it is called Opera.
I do not know, who works in their marketing departments, but they should have been fired ASAP.

That's a bit harsh but true......

I liked the new Edge right away and made it my primary browser. Note though, that probably would not have been the case if not for all the extensions in the Google Chrome Webstore. Microsoft owes some of Edge's success to Chrome compatibility.

Still using IE11 at times since not all Web sites have updated to support Edge.

Bought a new desktop in 2017. Tried Edge. Didn't like it.
Months later I tried it again. It wouldn't run. Period.
Several Windows updates later Edge started working again.
But now ... it's back to not running.
How stupid is it that you can click a program shortcut ... and the program doesn't run?
And you call that the best browser? I don't think so.
