gMail account in Win Live Mail doesn't work

I have 2 computers with Windows Live Mail as email client. And have Yahoo & gMail accounts on both WLM apps; and they worked perfectly.

The mobo on one PC recently burnt out, and was replaced. But after this, gMail accounts on both PCs stopped working. Each time I tried to send or receive emails on the gMail accounts,it kept asking for the password, which already existed in the WLM app.

I have searched Google, but can't find a solution to this problem. However, while the gMail account works fine on Windows 10 Mail app. I prefer to have all my email accounts in WLM app. Any help would be appreciated.

Both PCs have Windows 10 Pro 64bit, version 19041.450

WLM is no longer supported. Even if you find a way to get it working today it's not worth the hassle (security and function wise). It's best to migrate to another app like the Mail app (like you said it works).

If the Google account uses 2-step authentication then the mail will require an app specific password. Have you created one for each account?

The gMail account works on both Windows 10 Mail, and Mozilla Firebird. So now using Win 10 Mail for the gMail account.

    Thanks everyone for the input.
