I often want to print a web page, sometimes to my HP laser printer and other times to PDF for later printing.
If there is one feature in Firefox I don't like, it's the frequent freeze ups in the middle of a print job. The only remedy I have found so far is to kill Firefox using Task Manager and then restart Firefox.
Is there a better/faster way to fix this problem?
I don't have any problem with this extension:

Save as pdf then print.
Or preview then print.
In FF 81 (current beta), they have completely redesigned the print UI and it's internals. I had the same issues as you, particularly with printing to PDF. It would loose or scramble graphics and look horrible. That is all fixed now. It looks good.
So hang in there for 81 to go public. You can go to 81 Beta, but it's not easy to go back to public release, so I'd sit tight for it.

Thanks. This is really good news. I have submitted several bug reports to Mozilla over the years, and until now, it seemed that they didn't pay any attention to this issue.
