    Live Mail 2012 Screwed Up After v2004 Update you add or change the registry entries.
    If you need to download Windows Live Essentials to reinstall it then let me know.
    How do I change the registry entries please? This is the only download I have for Windows live Mail and its a bit hit and miss. Do you have another one Please?

    Right click on start>run then type regedit & click enter.

    In the registry under

    Computer \ HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows Live Mail

    Create these 3 DWORD entries (were not available for me) or change to 1 if they exist

    RecreateFolderIndex = 1
    RecreateStreamIndex = 1
    RecreateUIDLIndex = 1

    Restart Windows Live Mail. Then the message display goes back to normal for me and the 3 values in the registry are reset to 0. Can be left as it is.

    I have a copy on my MediaFire account:
    wlsetup-all

    wendy mcdonald,

    From there, you need to click "edit", "new", "DWORD (32bit)".

    Enter the name of the DWORD, Enter value "1" (Leave the "Hex value" option as it is.)
    You may have to re-edit the new DWORD by right clicking on it to put the value,
    HTH.

    It is these you need to add:

    Windows Live Mail Error 0x800C013E after update-reg.jpg

    Right click within the registry & choose 'New' then DWORD (32Bit) Value.

    I am sorry to be a pain but I cannot read the three items that need changing, its very distorted. Would you mind typing the three names. Also you say 32 bit my laptop is a 64 bit do I still type 32 bit? Thank you

    If you click on the attachment it’ll appear high resolution.
    They’re the three entries which have been previously mentioned.
    Yes you’ll still need to choose 32bit.

    Great news. I did try to find a way to export the three entries as a .reg file for you but I couldn’t.
