Replace Edge with Firefox`
In "Settings" there are help links but they will not open with Firefox even though it is default; only with Edge; how do resolve this?

If you mean links in the Edge browser Settings...those will open in Edge, regardless of what the default browser is.
In early versions of W10 you used to be able to edit the registry to change this, but that hasn't worked for a long time.
The only way now is to use a third-party app to intercept the call to Edge and divert it to your preferred browser. With Edge about to be replaced in the next version of Windows 10 with Chromium Edge that too may stop working (or at least, the app may need updating).
For now, see this from the How-To Geek....
How to Make Cortana Search with Google and Chrome Instead of Bing and Edge
Looks like a no there as well, regardless of the default browser.
If you are using Windows 10 Pro or above, you might look in Group Policy.
Type... about:config in the address bar of Firefox. Answer YES I'll accept the risk.
Once Config is open, search for: browser.shell.checkDefaultBrowser
Once it shows... double click it to change it from True to False.
Then you can close about:config
This will allow you to UNcheck the box: "Always check if Firefox is your default browser"... in
Tools > Options > General
(If you don't see Tools at the top of Firefox, just hit the left Alt key)
Then, in the Search box by the Start button.. type: Default Apps. Open that and for email and for browser... SET it to Firefox.
Now, Firefox will stay the default browser.
Microsoft is not honoring my choice of default browser! That's a Federal offence!
This was hashed over several years ago about MS forcing users to use their products when they had to separate IE out of their OS so it could be deleted, now this... time to PROTEST.
