    Callender, I don't have a syst adm. Please tell me how I can get one?

    Well you can remove the service (if installed)

    How do I GET RID OF this annoying Firefox popup?-uninstaller.jpg

    Then disable Firefox updates:

    Toggle Firefox Update : Easily Enable or Disable Automatic Updates in Firefox

    Then do your own update checking:

    Home Updater: Overview and Download | Patch My PC

    That's the method I use so I've just posted it for your consideration.

    Or you can disable update checks and manually download and install the latest version from the FTP when available.

    Thanks, just downloaded "disable FF updates" I'll let you know how it works. You posted other good stuff which I will download & study.

    You guys are Techs, I'm just an experienced busn user working above the hdwe & code so many posted solutions are beyond my tech skill level. So please be patient.
