I booted my laptop this morning and Microsoft installed the new Edge browser. Didn't ask, no option to say no. It is horrible, endless pop up ads, select a well known web site and an Xfinity page pops up, etc, etc. Is there any way to dump this piece of crap? Or do I have to go back to Internet Explorer?

Well, I managed to get an add blocker installed. Edge is a little better, BUT I have turned off the annoying "Show News and Interests" several times, but every time I start Edge, it is turned back on. I have no interest in what Bill Gates thinks is News or Interests, so how do get it turned off permanently?

You are free to choose any other browser to download and install then set it as default browser.
Regarding Internet Explorer - it is not recommended to use it.
