Are there some display problems with the Thunderbird 78 email client?

    Hi all -

I upgraded to Thunderbird 78 today and it went smoothly, except that the mail folders are very spartan (no yellow color) and the composition (and message panes) are dark grey with white lettering.
Now, I also had changed some color settings in Personaliztion under W10 so that everything looks nice on my desktop but Thunderbird 78 seems to have broken under that.

Does anyone else see these two peculiarities?

    TIA

Right click on each mail folder and go to Properties and choose what color you wish them to be. It will not be a solid color, but the folder outline will be whatever color you choose it to be.

Thanks. I figured it out already. Mozilla just couldn't leave things alone, could they!

Sorry to latch onto this thread but I hope the answer will be short and sweet without hijacking it too much and then back onto topic.
After reading a ghacks article ( See A look at some of the changes in Thunderbird 78 - gHacks Tech News ) I am wary of updating to v78 (I am on v68.10.0 32-bit) because ghacks states that, if I send emails to multiple people, they will all appear in the same 'field'. If I want to send "To:" the first two people then want the next two as "Cc:" and then the next two as "Bcc:" is this going to be easy or even possible? If so how?

I may stick to v68.10.0 if this is difficult to manage.

Perhaps you can put my mind at rest.

    Thanks.

    All -

After my pressure (and others), this is a now known bug with Thunderbird 78.

    Patience to those affected.

I don't use Thunderbird but take a look here:

Mail Merge :: Add-ons for Thunderbird

You could try the .csv method mentioned here:

Thanks Callender but mass mailing using mail merge isn't what I was after. I was simply wanting to retain the ability to select different sending options (To:, Cc: or Bcc:) for different people. Thanks anyway.

    Update -

Most of these problems have now been corrected in TB 78.1.1

Let me know if you are still experiencing the dark composition and message view panes after upgrading to this build.

    Thanks.

As regards my issue: For those who want or need to know v78.1.1 does allow Cc and Bcc. It is just done differently. My hijack of this thread is now complete. Sorry for that.
