I reckon that you'd need to disable your VPN to get location correct search results or try a search engine where you can define region.

How could my ISP be secretly changed?

I use Spectrum.net (equipment, etc.). I assumed they were my ISP.

    I use NordVPN.

BUT (and thank you), for some weirdo reason my ISP is Clouvider Limited, which is in the U.K.

They have a high fraud rating.

    How could this have happened?

    RON

    Because you're using a VPN.

I suddenly feel like an idiot.

I thought Spectrum was my ISP

    and Nord was my VPN.

(Shows how ignorant I am, I guess.)

    Clouvider Limited - Fraud Check

They manage IP addresses for organisations including NordVPN
Your ISP is what you think it is but it's masked by using a VPN/

Don't worry about the fraud rating. As a VPN - a lot of people use them for nefarious purposes.

    Sorry to seem so obtuse.

I *believe* my ISP is Spectrum.

But you are saying NordVPN masks that so to others it is Clouvider?

Well, that's what is so odd. According to NORD my server is in the U.S.

I reckon so. The way to test is temporarily disable NordVPN and see what results you get then.

I don't actually know how to disable it.
