    New Edge Taskbar

I'm persevering with new Edge, though it is clearly not built for tablets.
Today's problem is that 'Pin to taskbar' has no effect. I've tried everything, short of reinstalling - MS even makes hat difficult!
    Any tips welcome.

Right-clicking Microsoft Edge on the Start menu then choosing More should give Pin to Taskbar or if, by default, it is already in the Taskbar would show Unpin from Taskbar. Check yours to see if there is a problem with the Taskbar.

Thanks for prompt reply. I didn't make clear enough - I cannot get any action when I try to pin ANY Web page to taskbar. Thanks again, Berton.

I don't either. I can drag the URL/Address icon [the lock] to the Desktop but it won't move/pin to the Taskbar.

    New Edge Taskbar

Thanks all. Now, sit down and be patient.
My objective was to get through the taskbar to creating a tile on the Start page, which MS has denied me in new Edge.
So, I installed IE and created an app for the page. This can then be found in the Edge apps list. From there I pinned to Start.
Admittedly it opens in IE but it's a great help for my family, who prefer the simplicity of the tiles in the legacy Edge.
Hope that helps those, like me, who are not beaten.
