    I found a Solution

After scouring the MS forums, I found this solution. Adding a registry key.
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/i...e-42f18df69e2f

See the note from Karl Timmerman. I installed the key and now IE 11 is my default in Outlook 2010. Bye Bye Nag screen

For those who're unable to use IE to open links in Outlook 2003 through 2013, go to her site and see if this solution will work for you.

Outlook Links Wont Open In Windows 10

Good luck and be sure to post your results.
Wynona, I was going to post that same link, as I've used it to resolve this exact issue many times - albeit with prior versions of Windows. Glad I read through all the posts and saw your comments before I did.

Yeah, the owner's a Microsoft MVP, so I asked her if she could help. And she did by giving me the link.

No matter how you try to set IE 11 as the default browser, clicking a hyperlink in Outlook 2010 will open a window asking what program you wish to use to open the link. It gives you the option to continue using your default browser, or use Edge, or find some other program. It also has a checkbox to indicate that you want to do this from now on. Then, of course, you have to click "OK." NONE OF THIS HAS ANY EFFECT AT ALL (except to waste time). So, it takes four clicks to do what used to take only one click. Very annoying.

BTW, this doesn't happen when you click on a hyperlink in a program like Acrobat. The only time I have this problem is with Outlook 2010.
I have same issue with Outlook 2010 and Windows 10. Can't directly link to iexplorer as my default browser form Outlook. I hate windows 10.

Did you edit the registry as shown in the link in post 121? That worked for me...almost a year ago.

Yes. well sortof. The download registry import worked for me. I didn't have the exact registry entries, so the import made a new one and that fixed it. I still Hate Win10 and I'm heading towards a dual boot solution with my old Windows 7 ultimate which worked perfectly with Office 2010 home and business 64 bit.

I'm not a big fan either. It's much better if you download Classic Shell so you can make a real start menu (Microsoft seems to be a bit passive/aggressive in the way they refuse to give us what we want). I have other objections too, but it does work. I had a dual boot on 10 & 7 for a while. It just wasn't worth it though so I'm on 10 all the time now.
