    Still trying to figure out the difference between Edge smartscreen option and Google Safe Browsing.
    I'll get there.
    Can't help. For me Edge is removed. Smartscreen disabled and neutralized and I won't use Google safe browsing.

    Malwarebytes browser guard blocks dodgy downloads if you allow access to file URL's in options.

    Other than that I scan all downloaded files anyway. Typically with a few solutions including:

    Mine is set to clear on exit but it saves session and I'm still logged in.

    If I clear session data using another app then I will need to log in again.

    Never mind. I will just wait for the Ccleaner browser plugin fix. Maybe the next version will be okay.

    @Callender. Thanks.
    I do scan all files religiously too. Edge browser for me is just for the heck of it, not my main browser.
    I would like to make Brave my default, the only thing that stop me is they are so slow to answer if they do, on their forum support.

    Forget that Malwarebytes extension. It's buggy in Brave.

    Here's what I mean about session restore. After a crash of after browser exit it remembers session.

    Here's proof.

    The source of my confusion in regard to Google Safe Browser option.

    On previous version on Privacy&Security it was:

    Now it is:

    For a browser that flaunt privacy it seems to me a dumb thing to do.

    Oops i missed this. I would do a clean Uninstall/Install, as it is not the way it should behave. I know it is an hassle...

    Weird. I don't have those settings.

    I do have:

    Version 1.10.93 Chromium: 83.0.4103.106 (Official Build) (32-bit)

    Agreed on Google Safe Browsing but it's a good option for the unwary who just click on anything without thought.

    It was an extension issue. If disabled/ removed there's no problem.

    @Callender.

    Settings>Advance Settings>Privacy&Security> scroll down to Site and Shields Settings, open.

    On Site and Shields Settings scroll down to Cookies and Site Data, there you are.

    Ps,

    Good you figure out the issue.
    Sweet dreams...
