My computer did not power up as of yesterday. Do I extracted the HDD and hooked ot up with a spare casing as an external usb hdd.
I recovered all my data by a simple copy and paste.
I would like to know what file (maybe a db file) can I copy extract and replace to recover my favourites and possibly for saved passwords too?
I have a macrium image too from where I can extract files by mounting the image

All the data you need is in :
C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default
copy the folder "Default" and keep it. Once you install the new windows
and edge just overwrite this folder and you get everything back as it was.
Your bookmarks are in this folder:
C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default
The file name is "Bookmarks" if this is the only thing you need.

As I said if you copy and then overwrite the folder everything will be restored. even your personal settings and extensions and passwds
