Default Email is set to Chrome - How do I specify the Email address?

I just started using the Windows Scan app and it is very easy. You scan something, view it and you can then choose to Share. After you share, you are asked how you want to share and I choose Email. The question is, where does the sending email address come from, where is it defined. I have 2 gmail address' and want to set the from email address to email 2. Any ideas how to do this?

Just installed it to see what it does. Looks like it uses whatever you have set as your default E-mail program in Control Panel. I have Seamonkey set as mu default E-mail program so when I clicked E-mail it opened Seamonkey mail.

Kind of missed the point of my question. It not the Default Email.

I'm not asking how to set the Email program. I am asking how to set the email address that is used for the Scan function in windows. Share also uses this same process. You may have 2 different Gmail accounts and choose Chrome as your default Email. How does Scan know which email address to use?

For anyone else that may need this. The Email used for the Scan or Fax and Scan Apps are defined in the Mail App in Win 10. If you go to the Mail App, you can set the email used there.

I did not see anywhere in the Windows scan app that this could be set. Are you saying it follows the settings in Windows Fax and Send? If so, where in the options is that set? All I see is a E-mail address for Receipt.

The way I mentioned works since you can define a default E-mail account in most, if not all E-mail programs. When I tried it, Seamonkey (old Mozilla Suite) opened with the default E-mail account which is mine.

    Solution

If you go to the Email App in Windows. Then look at accounts, you will see the actual email address that will be used for the Scan or Fax and Scan App. You can change the Email address there. Kind of hidden. The 2 apps don't actually email but they do got to the Email app to complete this function.

Ah, I see, thanks. I never use it so have never set it up. Makes sense though.

Doesn't work for me. Still depends on what you have setup for the default mail program in Control Panel.

You are correct that the first step is to choose the Default Email Program. The next step is to set the specific email address. Say you have Gmail with 2 different emails. You can specify which email is used to send the emails. As I mentioned, it's strange to me that the Scan App and the Scan and Fax App themselves don't set the email that is used. Once you choose Email, it jumps to the Default Email App and uses those settings.
