MS Edge Beta - Keeps coming back!

    Hi,

I subscribed to Edge Beta in the early days, but no longer use it as the normal version of Edge is sufficient for my needs.

I uninstalled it, but with every new build it keeps reinstalling.

Any ideas how to stop this please?

    TIA.

The new Edge is the standard Edge.

    It is also not Beta.

Click the three dots, then Help and finally about. Should see something like this.

If yours is the Beta version that would be something to fix but it is going to change.

Thanks, but I have both, despite uninstalling the beta, with each update of the beta it returns!

Seems like this is an issue with others as well.

Is it possible that you are on a corporate machine? Saw one article where it suggested it was in a group policy.

Yours sounds different tan others. In the one I read it wouldn't uninstall because it said it was running.

Does this happen to you or does it uninstall but just comes back.

I also wonder if using powershell would produce a better result.

    Uninstall Apps in Windows 10

I wonder if you used Powershell command to list would two edges show in list.

As always, have an Image of your system so you can restore.

I uninstall it and once a new version is released it reinstalls. My own machine, so nothing like you suggested.

I uninstalled before I asked the question, so I will now have to wait until it reinstalls again, and try your suggestion.
