How do i enable flash player

whenever I try to play an embedded video (ie in facebook) I get a message telling me "Flash Player upgrade required", when I click on "get flash player" I get "Flash Player is integrated with Microsoft Edge in Windows 10.
You do not need to install Flash Player.". When I test flash player I get "Either Flash Player is disabled or ActiveX Filter is ON.
Please follow trouble shooting steps to play Flash content." I have enabled "Use Adobe Flash Player" button in Edge settings. How can I resolve this problem/

Sorry I don't understand the above advice. Where is the uncheck the Optional Offer? the link you gave just takes me to the check settings page, which I have already done.

The option in the middle.. where it says McAfee Security.. Uncheck that and press the Install.. You'll download the installer and execute that. Just remember to restart your browser for it to work fully.

Is this with Edge or IE 11 ?

Beware of false flash update notifications that may contain malware. These often appear on social media sites as well as other sites. Do not click and exit safely, e.g., go to Task Manager and end task.

Flash player is updated thru Microsoft Updates. KB3087916 was issued this past Tuesday. Just make sure you are current with updates from MS and do not click on false notifications.

Edit: Go to advanced settings in Edge to insure flash is turned on.
