Please help me try if Internet Explorer save password?

Hello, can somebody try the steps below to see if you are able to save password inside internet explorer. I want check if my internet explorer is working correctly or not. I have done these steps.

    1. open internet explorer>settings button on top right>internet options>content>auto complete [settings]>tick [username and passwords on forms]>untick [ask me before saving passwords]>click ok>click ok>close internet explorer.

    2. open internet explorer visit any website e.g. gmail.com facebook.com and login with username and password. There should not be any save password prompt.

    3. open internet explorer>settings button on top right>internet options>content>auto complete [settings]>click [manage passwords]. See if the website you just visited and password appear inside manage passwords or not and tell me. I did not see my password there but I read it should save password there.

    Thanks.

The password-saving location you refer to is Control panel, Credential manager. You are correct in thinking that passwords get saved there. My TenForums password, for example, is saved there. But if a website does not want to do this with IE then there is nothing you can do on your computer to change this. You just have to accept that many websites are no longer compatibile with IE.

Lots of websites are withdrawing support for IE this year so, even if you get your password saving working for one website, it might not work on that website tomorrow.

I've had to start using Firefox for more and more websites over the last few months. Two, for example, stopped saving my password in IE so I had to keep entering it every time I went there. Both save my password correctly in Firefox.

I prefer IE because it makes it easy to manage Favourites. That's why I will stick with it for the gradually-reducing number of websites for which it works.

Can you please try go manage password and delete the tenforums password, then untick [ask me before saving passwords] and try my steps 1 to 3 to see if you login tenforums or any site will it save the password?

IE works to save password correctly if I
tick [ask me before saving passwords], the only problem is when I untick [ask me before saving passwords] it will not save password.

    Thanks

Your focus on avoiding the user being notified that a password is being saved is baffling.
