It was announced that the Meeting feature will get a coice tochange if active or not. I never use the webmail features. so it would not affect me.

I would be interested to know how to get rid of it also. Have checked many things but no luck yet.

    Wonder if this would help?
disable Meet sidebar in Gmail - Google Meet Community

    Or this
Show or hide Google Meet in Gmail

    1. Open Gmail.
    2. In the top right, click Settings Settings.
    3. At the top, choose Chat and Meet.
    4. In the "Meet" section, make your changes.
    5. Click Save Changes at the bottom.

Important: G Suite users might not see this setting in their Gmail account if their G Suite Admins have the video calling service disabled from the Admin Console.

    Remove New Feature in Gmail

    Thanks for the answer.
There is not "Chat and Meet", there is only "Chat", disabled it and nothing happened.
    Any other ways please.

    Just ignore it.
There is no setting to remove that. Send feedback to Google.
You can use a Mail client, in which case you won't see that anyway.
